The Frankenmuth School District is known throughout the State of Michigan for its high academic standards. This is consistently reflected in student performance on state and national tests with average scores that are well above average.  On the 2007-2008 State of Michigan Education Yes Report Card, List Elementary, EF Rittmueller Middle, and Frankenmuth High School each received a composite grade of A. All three schools are accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

The Frankenmuth School District was recently recognized as a 2009 What Parents Want Award Winning School.   This designation given by School Match, the nation's largest school selection consultant firm,  recognized only 16% of the  nations 15,571 public schools districts meeting the needs of families choosing schools.  Those schools honored are noted for the following:

· Recognized for excellence by a National Foundation or by the U.S. Department of  Education

· Competitive in teachers' salaries.
