In 1976, Gary Bruns introduced Cross Country to Frankenmuth. He also created one of the most challenging and beautiful courses in the state of Michigan. Frankenmuth has been the host of many Regionals and even State Finals. Annually Frankenmuth hosts it's own invitational as well as the Saginaw County Invite. Over the years the Boys have won three conference titles and one Regional. Their best finish at the State Meet was in 1987 when they finished 10th. Graham Wellman holds the school record with a time of 15:58 established in 1998.
